Chemical Sales (Shreveport)

Ideal Chemical & Supply Company, a privately owned Chemical Distributor in Memphis Tennessee, is looking for outside sales representatives based in the Central Mississippi, North Louisiana, or Eastern Texas area.

Preferred experience includes a Bachelor’s Degree and 2-3 years working in Industrial Chemical Manufacturing, Industrial Chemical Distribution, or Oil and Gas industries.  This candidate will be home office based, visiting customer sites regularly.  Depending on candidate location, some overnight travel may be expected.

Job Duties:

• Engage and meet with customers in an existing book of business to grow relationships and sales
• Uncover potential sales growth with new and existing customers through inquiry, observation and research
• Prepare and conduct sales presentations to new and existing customers
• Determine customer requirements and expectations to recommend solutions
• Maintain and improve customer relationships and satisfaction
• Assist clients with special requests and problem resolution
• Negotiate and establish customer pricing and terms
• Collaborate internally with management and integral departments to ensure customer success
• Gather competitive information and other market information regularly while interacting cooperatively with other members of the distribution team
• Remain current on product and industry knowledge by attending sales meetings, vendor training, trade shows, or reading trade journals
• Practice honesty and integrity in all customer and vendor relations
• Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors
