Sales Analyst

Ideal Chemical & Supply Company is a family-owned Memphis based company founded in 1932. We are a distributor of industrial and specialty chemicals, and custom blends. We offer a competitive salary and benefit package.
This position is responsible for assisting the manager in providing operational support by working with outside sales staff, members of management and others within the organization. The Sales Analyst Specialist delivers assistance to the Sales Team that is essential in helping drive the organization in exceeding its revenue goals. Must have great time management and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with Sales, Finance, Accounting, Chemical Sales Reps, Operations and Customers. In addition, this position provides direct administrative support to the Commercial Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
• Screen potential new customers
• Verify third party direct invoices
• Maintain price book
• Process and submit bids
• Provide support to Executives
• Research for potential business opportunities
• Send information packets to potential customers
• Prepare reports for customers and management
• Process rebates
• Order lunch for sales meeting and others as required
• Print marketing information and assemble marketing folders

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: The following requirements include but are not limited to:
• Able to analyze reports and information
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards
• Superior organizational skills
• Able to perform business math (basic algebra, compute rate, converting units of measure, ratio, etc.)
• Problem-solving and analytical ability
• Manages time effectively and adapts quickly to changing priorities
• Able to handle difficult customers with diplomacy and tact
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid driver’s license

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Prefer Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum 6 months in similar position
• Chemical or Distribution experience is a plus
